Genie White O’Loughlin oversees all things digital marketing at Amplification Inc., and she’s a native Floridian, through and through. In fact, her family’s lineage in the Sunshine State goes back five generations. Although she was born in Miami and raised in Pembroke Pines, Genie opted to leave South Florida and head for the panhandle to attend Florida State University, where she earned a degree in communications with an emphasis in public relations.
Described as an “SEO sorceress” with a “Jedi-like calmness” by Amplification Inc.’s co-founder Steve Cabeza, Genie leads the company’s interactive marketing efforts, including online branding, search marketing, lead generation, and social marketing. Fellow co-founder Marnie Hoppe concurs with Steve’s assessment, stating that Genie “is extremely educated in the digital marketing field” and that she “brings amazing ideas and strategies” to the company’s clients.
Prior to coming onboard at Amplification Inc., Genie cut her teeth in marketing on both the agency and corporate sides, giving her a unique perspective on what makes campaigns and strategies truly effective. Her career has taken her from small startups to some of America’s largest companies, including media giant Tribune Media and automotive kingpin JM Family Enterprises, Inc. Her spontaneity and high energy are also hallmarks of her previous “hidden” career—as an on-air DJ for a college/independent radio station in South Florida for nearly 10 years.
Whether she’s writing eye-catching headlines for Facebook ads, optimizing websites based on performance metrics, or analyzing user demographics to find niche audiences, Genie taps into her creativity and problem-solving skills every day. Operating under her two personal and professional mottos—“Know Your Audience” and “Begin With the End in Mind”—Genie creates campaigns that connect with targeted users by envisioning successful results and working persistently towards her goals along the way.
Genie is passionate about volunteer work. She assisted with fundraising efforts for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Davie and Cooper City as both a committee member and an event chair, and has served on the Boards for Bonnet House Museum, as well as the South Florida Interactive Marketing Association. When she’s not volunteering or brainstorming the next marketing hit for Amplification Inc.’s clients, you can find her at home with her husband Mark, playing with her dogs Elvis and Ripple.
